ZOMBIEs....

What?
  • A zombie Apocalypse!!!
    • This lesson Adapted from Teach Engineering.
  • A chance to practice critical thinking.
  • A charrette to make a functioning prosthetic.
WHY?
  • Sometimes we just need to have a little fun and use those imaginations God gave us.
  • Learning to think on your feet and working in a group are skills that transfer to all parts of life!
  • It's a fun time of year and we could all use an activity that is silly and engaging.
When?
  • During Class. At home students should use what they can find around their house.
How?
  • Choose a Group of 3 or less
  • Pick a side
    • ARe you a Zoombie or a human?
      • Zombies would walk slow and drag their prosthetic.
      • Human would run and climb to escape
  • Using found objects around your home or school, create a Prosthetic leg. The leg should:
    • Hold your weight
    • Remain attached as you move
    • feel durable enough to last at least a few days in the apocalypse
    • Allow you mobility around flat surfaces as well as stair and other barriers

  • Students should consider the following:
    • MAke it's within the time period
    • It could be an activity everyone does at the same time, or one where you see who can do it the fastest. BE creative.

    • Have fun! It could be something as simple as a lego building competition or as complex as a powering a potato car.

Tatum's Crepes

Recipe,  “Magnolia Table, volume 2” Joanna Gaines
Picture
After pouring the batter, tilt the pan in a circle to spread the batter to get a thin crepe. Try to flip at the right time, so the crepe ends up with a golden brown color.
Picture
Once crepes are done cooking, cut the fruit of your choice into thin slices
Picture
Picture
Spread nutella on the crepe, and place bananas or strawberries on top. Finish with some whipped creme.

Use a medium sized bowl and a 1 cup measurement

Step 3:
Add 1 cup of Nutella and 1 cup of flour, then crack your egg

Step 4: Roll them into how big you want them to be because they don’t really spread and put them on a baking sheet. Bake them at 350 for about 8-10 minutes

More from Online Learning. It is amazing to me how resourceful students have been with the space and materials they have at home. In many ways, home isolation has brought out even more of the maker's spirit, as it forces us to us what we have and be creative with the projects.
