"ART Guide" COVERS!

These turned out so well. I am excited to see the techniques and drawings/paintings that students will add to the inside in the coming weeks. In the end they will each have a guide to 6-10 different art mediums!

My DEEP HOPE IS........

To start the year I shared my deep hopes with each class, then I challenged them to think about their deep hopes. They started by filling out a question sheet.

FROM THIS I ASKED THEM TO MAKE A "VISUAL" REPRESENTATION OF ONE OR ALL THREE OF THEIR DEEP HOPES IN THEIR ART JOURNALS. It was so encouraging and exciting to see the things students hope for. We all need to give kids more credit; they know how to dream big, keep it simple, and step out of their comfort zones. Below are a few Deep Hopes, maybe they will inspire you as well!

I CHALLENGE YOU TO TALK TO YOUR STUDENT MORE ABOUT THESE DEEP HOPES, SHARE YOUR HOPES, AND TALK ABOUT HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN THESE PURSUITS.
